Have a downright smashing time at the US Open 2018

US Open

Get ready to be served a dose of raw athleticism and dynamic rivalries as the 50th Anniversary of the US Open returns to Flushing Meadows! For a whole fortnight (August 27 – September 9), the top tennis players in the world will take to the hard courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and battle it out for the final Grand Slam championship of the year. The storylines coming in are enough of a reason to attend:

US Open 2018

Will the ATP Tour’s “Fedal Show”, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal continue to defy Father Time, but will the resurgent Novak Djokovic spoil the party by hoisting the trophy to join his Silver Guilt Cup from Wimbledon? Will Serena Williams avenge her defeat at the All England Club and regain her crown as the Queen of the WTA Tour? All questions will be answered when the first official ball of the US Open 2018 is served on Monday, August 27th.

When attending, there are a few essentials to consider:

Many factors, such as prior results and weather, will affect the daily schedule. Be sure to check the posted court assignments and times the night before your session.

Besides Arthur Ashe Stadium, all of the courts are first-come, first served admission. Keep in mind the attendance record is shattered almost every year, so plan on multiple “courts of interest”.

Or take advantage of the events before the tournament. Better yet, the qualifying tournament and Arthur Ashe Kid’s Day are free!
